Because feeling beautiful on your wedding day is about so much more than how you look.

So, why do brides book me and never regret it?

Because it's never just about the hair and makeup.

It's about feeling understood when you're not quite sure what you want. It means having the confidence to trust someone with such an important part of your day. It's all about that moment you’re looking in the mirror and seeing a version of yourself that feels just beautiful. It’s knowing you have someone in your corner who genuinely cares about how you feel.

For some brides, this is the really exciting part they can't wait for. For others, particularly if you don't wear much makeup normally, the thought of having your hair and makeup professionally done can feel a little daunting. Will I still look like myself? Will my makeup feel too heavy? Will my hair look how I've imagined it? What if I don't know what suits me?

These are all completely understandable questions and they're exactly why choosing your artist is about so much more than the final result.

It's about finding someone you trust to listen, understand your vision and help you feel comfortable and confident from your first enquiry right through to the moment you walk down the aisle. If there's one thing my lovely brides have taught me, it's that the experience matters just as much as the hair and makeup itself.

1. You want to look like yourself, only feeling your absolute best

One of the biggest worries I hear from my brides from over the years is that they'll look too different on their wedding day. Perhaps you rarely wear makeup. You want to feel special, but you still want to recognise the person looking back at you in the mirror. I completely get that.

One of my past brides Charlotte summed this up beautifully in her review, sharing how I brought her Pinterest inspiration to life while still making her feel like the most incredible version of herself. That's exactly what I want for every bride who sits in my chair.

I want you to look in the mirror and feel that little moment of excitement!

2. You don't need to know exactly what you want before you book

You might have hundreds of Pinterest pictures saved, a vague idea or no idea where to begin. And that's okay!

That's what your preview appointment is all about. The opportunity to explore, experiment and build confidence before your wedding day arrives.

It's about working together until you feel genuinely excited about your bridal look.

Another of my past brides Amy shared that she found the whole process daunting because she didn't normally wear much makeup. She described how much she loved her preview appointment and how difficult it was to choose between the looks I created for her.

3. Your wedding morning should feel calm, not chaotic

Your wedding morning is something you'll remember long after the dress has been carefully packed away. It's the excitement of getting ready with your favourite people and those final moments before everything begins. You thoroughly deserve to enjoy it and soak everything in at your own pace. Having a professional hair and makeup artist you feel comfortable with can make such a difference to the atmosphere of your morning. Someone who knows the plan, listens to you and brings a calm, reassuring presence into the room.

Of course, creating beautiful hair and makeup is a huge part of my job. But helping you feel looked after, supported and able to enjoy those precious hours is just as important.

4. You're investing in the experience, not just the end result

It's completely understandable to compare prices when planning a wedding. There are so many suppliers to choose from and every decision needs to work for your budget.

But when it comes to bridal hair and makeup, the investment is about more than the time spent with a brush or styling tool in hand.

My sweet bride Annya's review highlighted the supportive and friendly approach I bring from booking through to the wedding day itself. She also mentioned how the bridal party's felt beautiful after being in the chair and not just the bride. That personal experience is something I value enormously. When you look back on your wedding photographs, I hope you remember not only how beautiful you felt, but how lovely it was to get ready.

5. You deserve to feel looked after, every step of the way

For many brides, booking a hair and makeup artist is a completely new experience. You might not know what to expect from a preview appointment, how to prepare your skin, what to bring along or how the timings on the morning will work.

You shouldn't have to figure everything out alone. My role is to guide you through the process, answer your questions and help you feel prepared. I want you to feel comfortable asking for advice, sharing your ideas and telling me if something doesn't feel quite right.

If your vision evolves along the way, that's okay too.

Past bride of mine Charlotte described how I took the time to help her figure out exactly what she wanted, from her preview appointment through to the wedding day. She also praised how comfortable I made her and her bridal party feel on the morning itself.

For me, that's what building trust is all about.

It's knowing that you can communicate openly, feel listened to and enjoy a personal experience tailored to you and everyone else.

Let's create a look that makes you feel every bit as beautiful as you deserve to feel.

With love,

Ellie x
